Professor Brian Shoesmith

Professor Brian Shoesmith of Australia is the Senior Advisor for Strategic Planning, Board of Trustees of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB). He has over 30 years of teaching and research experience in various reputed universities in Australia, Canada, India, Bangladesh, Germany, China and Indonesia. He has been working with ULAB in the capacity of Dean, Academic Development since January 2013. Prior to that, he was associated with ULAB from September 2006 to September 2008 as the Head of the Media Studies and Journalism Department (MSJ). During his first tenure with ULAB, he was instrumental in developing the university and modernizing the MSJ department. Recently as Dean Academic Development, he has formulated various policies, launched the Office of Faculty Research, and chaired the Strategic Planning Committee.
